Writing keeping me too busy for Substack!
I haven’t been posting here for months, and that is actually a good thing for me. The reason because I am finally getting paid to write. Granted, it is just part time, but I get to work and produce as much as a I want, which kis an ideal situation for me.
I am writing for the Avgeekery.com aviation website. I get to write about anything aviation related including military, commercial, space, history, and anything else I find interesting in that area. This job suits my background as I severed for 20 years in the U.S. Air Force. During my fort ten years, I was an aircraft crew chief (mechanic). This including doing maintenance, inspection, servicing, and lots of traveling. Every detail of my job revolved around aircraft, and I developed a strong interest in it.
So when saw an advertisement on Indeed for a writing position on an aviation website, I applied right away. I spoke to the website editor, and he hired me. Since then, I have been writing articles on a variety of aviation topics.
I upcoming posts, I’ll write about my process for researching, writing, and editing. I have also learned a bit about SEO and Wordpress from this job. Please note I am writing these articles under my real name, Bill Lindner. Will Granger is my pen name.

Cloud Seeding Is Real. Here’s How It’s Done
Although I am enjoying writing for the website, I am still focused on finding a literary agent for my historical fiction. novel, Shame of Kings. I have added a second part to0 the novel and made significant changes to. the beginning. It s now at 95000 words.
I’ve started sending out queries again. So far, I haven’t received a response, but I’ll keep at it. Sometimes the phrase “soul crushing” comes to me when I think about querying, I guess that’s just the game. I’ll keep at it for several months and then maybe start thinking about trying the self publishing route. I haven’t given up on finding an agent.
Please add a comment about your writing. How is it going for you?
Have a great week.
