Tutoring, Lesson Plans, and Merchandise
Hi everyone,
I will begin by making it clear that I am not looking for paid subscriptions. I will never pester you about that. My purpose for this newsletter is to post about my research and writing as I work on publishing my historical fiction novel Shame of Kings (title soon to change). I am never going to offer paid subscriptions.
However, I do have a lot of experience as teacher, tutor, and speaker. I really enjoy helping students and speaking to groups. So I have added a new Services tab on this newsletter. I have posted several things there so far:
A link to my tutoring offerings on Wyzant. I am available to tutor a variety on English/writing/reading/test prep subjects. I still use Wyzant because they advertise and their platform works well, but I am happy to tutor on my own without Wyzant. Frankly that is better because then I don’t have to give Wyzant a cut.
I also have a link to my lessons plans on the Teachers Pay Teachers website. I call the store Old Guy Teaching and Language Arts. Most are based on my novels Anabar’s Run and Anabar Rises. These are probably best suitable for grades 5 - 8.
Links to water bottles, t-shirts, and stickers with my AI is For Sheep Logo on Printify. I am very Anti AI, and don’t mind letting people know. Printify allows you so offer other products like hats, hoodies, and bags, so please let me know if you would ever like to see something else with the logo.
Speaking at events and classroom visits. I would be happy to meet with any group to talk about my writing. For Shame of Kings, I have information on more than 100 sources about Calusa Indians, Aztecs, and Conquistadors. I can talk about my research, writing, and marketing. Along with my fiction writing, I can share stories from my experiences as a military journalist in the U.S. and overseas and as an English teacher
I can meet face-to-face or online via Zoom or via other formats. Please contact me if you are interesting in having me speak.
I will not continue to send emails asking you to check out my Services tab. I have some ideas for new offerings, but I won’t keep bugging you about them. Please just check out the tab if you are curious about what I am doing there.
I do want to ask you a favor. I would really appreciate it if you could share and even restack this post. That will really help me to let people know what I am providing under the Services tab.
