I have created classes on the Outschool.com platform. I call them my Challenging Literature Series. For each class, I will read a novel aloud over several sessions. Each session will also include a discussion of the themes and content in the pages.
I designed these classes to be a big time saver for students taking AP Literature and Composition and also as a resource to help them understand the challenging books they read in class.
For the classes, I selected some of the most commonly assigned books in AP Lit. These include Heart of Darkness, Billy Budd, Wuthering Heights. I will soon add more choices and I am open to suggestions for other books. Also, these classes are for anyone interested in these great books; you don’t have to be taking AP English.
