Original photos, art, and documents from my Anabar Series Blog - my coming-of-age Middle Grade Book Series
I have been using another site, but I am going to move the material to Substack. I have photos, maps, posters, logs, and more. I would love to hear what you think.
My first cover. This peak is in a European city. The first person to send me the name of the mountain will get free Kindle versions of Anabar’s Run and Anabar Rises!
Please share this with parents and teachers of students in grades 5 - 7. I believe these students will enjoy reading my books and even want to read more.
I enjoyed making my own covers.
I drew this map, and it contains all the key locations in both books.
I drew this battlefield map to go with the final
battle scene in Anabar Rises.
This map is easier to read, but I do like the dark, older look of the other two. Still, this one may be useful for readers. I think I am going to give this to my students to refer to as they read the books.
I like the look of this dark paper on my wanted poster for Omalof.
I made this training log several years after I wrote Anabar’s Run. I wonder if I should have included it in the book; however, I did want to make Omalof mysterious for both Anabar and the readers, and this may have been too much information.
I took this picture of the Matterhorn in Switzerland in 1984. I think it goes very well with the climbing scenes in Anabar’s Run. There are two small dots on the glacier in the center of the image that are actually climbers.
